Background
NFTs are non-fungible tokens and can be used to trade all sorts of digital assets. However, the most common use of them is for artwork, for example the Bored Apes and CryptoPunk.
In my exploration of NFTs, I have focussed my attention on the creative side, utilising generative AI Art to create my first collection of NFTs through DALLE, on the Tezos blockchain.

The prompt I used was: Generate a photorealistic piece of art based on a cat in space with an exploding star
Reflections
I found the whole process of coming up with my prompt, generating my artwork, creating a Tezos blockchain wallet and then minting my NFT really fun and engaging. I'm going to continue exploring the limits of the DALLE generative AI models, with a ultimate plan to integrate NFTs with my Upcycled Furniture designs so I can tell the story of each piece.
I am developing some engaging workshops exploring Generative Art and NFTs. However, I will need to be careful when encouraging other young people to set up blockchain wallets and engaging with cryptocurrencies as there are also risks involved. One area of interest is creating NFTs as tokens of gratitude as gifts for participating or support a community event/workshop.
